Prognosis in gastric cancer
Predictions Are Often Not Favorable
In the case of gastric cancer, the chances of survival are comparatively poor. In 2011, the 5-year survival rate, which describes the chance of survival over the next 5 years, was 33%. Also, In contrast, the 5-year survival rate for early-stage cancer is about 90%.
