Tips For Losing Weight With A Vegetarian Diet
Do More Exercises
Increasing your calorie consumption is a smart move on any diet — even if you’re trying to lose weight vegetarian. There are many reasons for this: First, it is difficult to resist all the culinary temptations that come your way. For a dieter, however, small sins are deadly, especially when they accumulate.
On the other hand, if you move a lot and burn additional calories as a result, you can afford one or two exceptions without the calorie deficit going away. In addition, sport and exercise curb the feeling of hunger, at least temporarily. And of course, no substance what you eat, it’s just plain healthy to get plenty of exercise.
Leave Out Sugar
While vegetarians automatically avoid fatty meats, they can fall into the sugar trap like everyone else. Sweet drinks, sweets, ready meals, everything that contains a lot of sugar should also be avoided on a vegetarian diet. Incidentally, the problem is not only the many calories that come with a lot of sugar, but also the roller coaster ride that drives up the blood sugar level. It causes cravings and always makes us eat more often than we need to. You can find out more about the sugar-free diet here.
Drink A Lot
Drinking a lot is an old diet tip, because liquid also fills the stomach, which gives a feeling of satiety at least for a while. However, since we do not advocate “starvation diets,” we do not recommend heavy drinking as a result. This is particularly important for vegetarians who are on a diet, because ideally their diet is not only very high in protein, but also contains a lot of fiber. These bind water in the stomach and intestines and if there is not enough of it in the body, digestive problems can occur.
Chips, gummy bears, popcorn, pretzel sticks… Vegetarians, like everyone else, have to resist the little temptations of everyday life, especially after work. It may be the wiser route to resort to low-calorie alternatives rather than practicing hard abstinence. For example, you can eat a melon while watching football or nibble on sliced carrots for a thrill.
Vegetarian Diet Food Recipe
Lose weight vegetarian with chickpea curry
Chickpea curry, for example, is particularly good for a diet plan that is supposed to be vegetarian. For 2 servings you will need:
30 grams of ginger
1 small chili pepper
2 cloves of garlic
2 teaspoons canola oil
1 tablespoon Madras curry
400 milliliters of vegetable broth
1 can of chickpeas
1 tablespoon hot mustard
some Biobin (vegetable binding agent)
150 grams of yogurt
150 grams of grapes
½ bunch of chives
Finely chop the ginger, chili and garlic and sauté everything together briefly in a little hot oil. Now add the curry and deglaze the spices with vegetable stock.
Then the sliced carrots, the drained chickpeas and the mustard also go into the pot, where you let the ingredients cook for about 15 minutes.
Now add Biobin until you get a creamy consistency and mix in the yoghurt and grapes. Garnish with chives and your delicious diet recipe is ready – vegetarian and healthy.
